The server merge seems to be going well and the merged servers will be up soon.
NCSoft also launched a preview site for the upcoming update here .

Here is a short list of the improvements:

Free ports till LvL40
Enhanced Cruma Tower
Vitaliy System will be added finally
New Skills have been added
A new instance like rift, called Kamaloka will be added
Improved crafting system
Possibility to removed unwanted buffs will be added
Songs/Danced are now categorized

The water dragon will also be added:
